Statement

David Aldridge aspires to a change of identity from a psychiatrist and photographer to a lens-based artist. As emotion engages, his work turns to memory and recollection of pictures that bring experience to life. Toys used in play therapy explore conflicts, tensions and fears at work and in daily life, made toys from the start of primary school were recreated, and landscapes and experience from childhood and youth revisited.
